Fueling a Passion for God

Young Seekers

Young Seekers is a program designed for students in grades 7-12 who are interested in further developing their personal relationship with Jesus to the point of public profession of faith, as well as exploration of active membership within the church.

It involves pairing each Seeker with a Guide. Guides and Seekers meet several times throughout the five week program and use a variety of resources to explore faith and what it looks like to be an active member of the church. At the end of the five weeks, we have a 'Celebration Sunday' where the Young Seeker Guides stand alongside the Seekers as they come before the congregation to profess their faith, and if they choose, become members of the church. It's a joyous, church-wide celebration!

Young Seeker Registration forms for both Seekers (the students) and Guides (adult mentors) are within the 2013 Young Seeker Brochure available at the Student Ministries Kiosk through February 4 when registration closes.  Within the brochure, you'll also find a detailed schedule of Young Seeker sessions and activities, as well as helpful questions to ask yourself as a potential Guide - or questions to ask your Seeker to determine if they are ready for this program.

Young Seekers Sessions will begin Sunday, February 10, with Celebration Sunday landing on March 17. *See the full schedule of sessions and activities in the Young Seeker brochure and be sure to transfer all the dates to your family calendar!
