Meet Our Team

Lori McCrum

As Director of Family Ministries, I have the privilege of leading the FH Kids staff in our vision to reach kids for Christ and assist families in developing a spiritual foundation for their children.

My husband Dennis and I have two daughters age 13 and 16. We love spending time all together whether it's camping, biking, at the beach, in the snow, or hanging out with friends pretty much anywhere. We enjoy serving others and believe our mission field is right where we are!

I recently heard a statement, 'putting cookies on the lower shelf.' I believe that's what we're doing in FH Kids. We're committed to putting something great – the very Word of God, on the lower shelf; a reachable, understandable level for kids. I love being a part of the fun ways we bring the Bible to life in age appropriate ways so kids can learn how much God loves them and that He can be trusted no matter what! My heart is filled with joy when I see kids praising God, reciting scripture and when I peek into a classroom and see kids diving into the Bible with their leader to learn what God has to say to all of us!

Kristin Walcott

As Early Childhood Coordinator, I oversee the nursery and preschool programs here at Fair Haven. I enjoy serving families with young children, planning fun and exciting programs, and coordinating volunteers for our youngest attenders.

I've been married to my husband Wade for 14 years and have three beautiful girls who are age 10, 8 and 5. I enjoy crafting, playing games, vacationing (who doesn't!), and just spending time with my family.

Serving on the FH Kids Team for the past eight years has been such a blessing in my life! It brings me such joy to work with our awesome volunteer staff and watch our little ones learn that Jesus LOVES them! Hearing a 3 year old recite a memory verse and tell the entire story of Jonah in their own words is absolutely the BEST part of my job!

Hannah Dykstra

As the Elementary Coordinator, I organize, plan and support programs for kids in Kindergarten through grade 5 on Sundays, Wednesdays and special events. I love that my job means I get to plan lessons and games, and get to hang out with kids and their leaders.

I currently live in Zeeland and love to use my education in Interior Design to do all things crafty and creative. It's so much fun to make things by hand for my family and friends to enjoy. Other things I enjoy include music and outdoor seasonal activities like biking, swimming and cross country skiing.

Working in a place where I can share the love of Christ is a huge blessing. There is nothing like interacting with kids and seeing them develop in their relationship with God as they learn more and more. I hope and pray that each child that is a part of FH Kids leaves with a better understanding of what it looks like to live their lives for Christ and be involved in a Christian community. It's my joy to see the faith of children lived out every week.

Kristi Huyser

As the Childrens Administrative Assistant, I help the FH Kids Team in many things from making signs for events to helping plan Vacation Bible School and PumpkinPalooza.

I am married with two elementary-aged kids. We have a dog and cat who do not like each other. We like family night, when we go out for dinner, play a board game or just watch a movie with some old fashioned popcorn that my husband makes over the stove. I like to take pictures and put them in my creative memory albums. I also enjoy reading and excercising.

It gives me joy to see others embrace the love of Jesus Christ and to hear stories of how He is working in their lives. I enjoy being on the FH Kids Team because we get to help kids grow in their faith and see God's hand at work in our community.

Sheila Cavanaugh

As the Family Ministries Administrative Assistant, I provide office support for Children, Student and Adult Ministries. I volunteer as a small group leader for kindergarten and 1st grade in FH Kids and also as a Kids Hope mentor.

I'm married to Jack and have two children ages 21 and 18. I've worked at Fair Haven for over 13 years and enjoy scrapbooking, attending my kids' music and sporting events and camping in the summer!

I love knowing that what I do at work will effect children for a lifetime! The best part is teaching kids on Sunday mornings and seeing how much they love FH Kids and to see the same kids later as they be come 'fully devoted followers of Christ!'

At the core of what we do, is our volunteer group of over 250 dedicated leaders. We'd like to recongnize and sincerely thank three in particular that invest much time each week to directly and joyfully support the FH Kids Staff.

Caryn Krueger

I serve as the Elementary Curriculum Coordinator by assisting Hannah in editing small group lessons and putting together supplies for small group leaders.

My husband Keith and I have three kids. I enjoy reading and scrapbooking our family memories. As a family, we enjoy outside activities and camping.

I enjoy serving in this role because I can use my gifts to assist small group leaders in sharing God's love with kids. Through this they will learn more about Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

Rachel Machiele

I serve as a volunteer Administrative Assistant and enjoy coming in the office each week to support the FH Kids Staff by processing registrations, making nametags, notes and whatever else they need!

I love spending time with my husband off roading in our jeep and going to off-road enduro derbies. I also love my job as a cosmetologist at Body Perfections the past seven years and being creative in any way!

I find joy in serving on the FH Kids Team because it makes me feel more a part of the church family and is rewarding that I can help out in the office on my day off.

Kevin Regnerus

My day job is working for Global Concepts where I'm an international buyer. Within FH Kids, I have been active as a Sunday Blaze Coordinator which is the praise teams for preschool and elementary kids. You may have also seen me involved on the worship team in 'big church' and in choir. I love all aspects of music and try to be involved wherever I can.

I am married to Amanda (who is one of the Blaze leaders and also heads up a team of elementary leaders). We have two sons, one of which is now old enough to serve on the Blaze team I lead!

My passion is to help youth find where God fits into their lives where they are at. I'm hopefully planting seeds that will grow into an engaged relationship with Christ as they mature. Since I have kids of my own now involved in Children's Ministries, I feel a strong calling to serve where they are at, to be an example to them and others of how serving God is fun!
