Learning Ship Christian Preschool: Typical Daily Schedule
- Children arrive at their class and hang coats and backpacks in the provided cubbies
- Free Play: for 30 minutes, children have a choice of play in various areas around the room (transportation area, housekeeping area, fine motor skills, blocks, play dough, book corner, sensory table, coloring, cutting, stamping, and listening center)
- Rotation Centers:
- Four year olds: work time, academics, craft, letter and number work, science time, or cooking time
- Three year olds: craft, teacher choice activity: play dough, listening center, sensory table, cooking projects, or science area
- Snack time: wash hands and prayer
- Bible circle time: Bible story, singing, finger plays or DVD Bible time
- Gym time: walk to our gym area which has bikes, climber, balls, scooters, balance beam, and basketball hoops
- Closing circle time: good-bye song, review from the day, and talk about the next day
This is everything that may happen in a two and a half hour day. It may not happen in this order, but we do offer many things for the children to gain routine in their days and develop confidence in their first school experience.
